I was born and raised in Texas and live in Dallas with my husband, two elementary school aged children, and 4 cats!
I have been drawing and coloring since I was a little girl. Coloring books were my JAM! I always loved picking out the perfect complimentary color palette of crayons before beginning!
I started painting in 2015 when I was a stay-at-home mom to two babies only 16 months apart! I am a self-taught artist, though I have learned much from other wonderfully talented artists' online classes and in-person workshops. I primarily paint in acrylic and mixed media and use an intuitive process to choose color palettes and compositions.
I am unapologetically colorful – color lights up my soul! I am often inspired by music - certain lyrics and melodies just hit me hard and then they MUST be put into the art! I paint the way music makes me feel inside.
I use art to communicate my deepest thoughts and emotions. I really feel that art saved my life when I was going through a very hard time in my life with being new to motherhood, dealing with childhood trauma, and while also at a crossroads in my professional life. Because of this I want to add joy, beauty, and love to the world through my art!
I LOVE to learn and am going back to school this fall to complete my BA in Liberal Arts with concentrations in Art History, Music, and Theatre.
